Hello again! Welcome. You're basically the first other person to join besides a bunch of spammers when I stopped posting codes, haha. There's a few important things to know if you're going to put the money into getting a disc: -Avoid the newer versions entirely. The disc looks like this: You cannot enter new codes whatsoever, which basically makes this version pointless. -This disc you want is either or "Max" is the newer version. There isn't much difference at all between those two versions, though. -The AR memory card is not necessary! You can use any Gamecube memory card. People will try to sell the card on its own online for a significant price, but it has no real value in my opinion. If you can get just the disc for cheaper, do that! -Finally... just something personal experience. never store the Action Replay in a regular Gamecube case (European cases might be better, but I'm not 100% sure). The discs are actually very fragile and cheaply made. This might be even more true for the MAX version. You should put it in a basic jewel case, or anything that won't put stress on the plastic in the center of the disc. That's a very basic overview. Entering your codes is pretty easy... I can help you with all of that if you get an action replay!

Honestly it has been a while since I thought about this stuff, so I'm relearning a couple of things myself. First of all, the disc I'm personally using is Version 1.07, which is an older release. Apparently that one doesn't work on the newer models of Gamecube that removed the Digital AV port (for component cables). Not a concern for me, because I would never get one of those Gamecubes now, especially not since I bought a HDMI adapter that uses that port. I definitely used Action Replay MAX on the newer models of Gamecube, though... so maybe that was the point of that release. I think it still had compatibility issues with some games, like Ocarina of Time. www.ebay.ca/itm/Action-Replay-For-Nintendo-Gamecube-Disc-Only/184162590203?hash=item2ae0f21dfb:g:hGsAAOSwep1ePWIoThat's the disc I have. This is the best deal I'm seeing currently on ebay... it's not exactly cheap, but much lower than other sellers at the moment. So yeah, a lot of annoying stuff to consider, and there are "easier" modern options with a soft modded Wii for example... but I'm old school with this stuff, haha.

Hey, thanks for all the informations, i'll definitely consider buying one of those Action Replay disc soon. About the gamecube models, mine is an older model as well, so i will most likely buy a similar version of Action Replay like you.
